Backup Tool: I use the UpdraftPlus plugin. This plugin acts as a technical interface to facilitate the transfer of backup files. No data is stored by the plugin developer itself. Storage Location: Backups are stored on Google Drive, a service provided by Google LLC (USA). Purpose: The processing is necessary for the legitimate interest of ensuring data security and the ability to restore the website in the event of a technical failure (Disaster Recovery) in accordance with Art. 32 nFADP. International Transfer: While your primary data is hosted in Germany, backups may be transferred to Google servers. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures that the Swiss Federal Council recognizes an adequate level of data protection for such transfers.
